Manufacture Specification
Each garment is designed and created manually by expert personnel; after the first check in the tannery, another meticulous selection is made and only then the hides are cut. The garments are cut one by one, checking both the external and internal parts, then we move on to the packaging and the various finishes (embroidery, interlacing carvings, etc.), strictly handmade; finally, we move on to finishing, a phase in which the buttons are attached. The whole process is constantly followed by the production manager who carries out the final testing before packaging.

Company Introduction
Christia was founded in 1968 by Mr. Manlio Sorio, who decided to open a workshop making leather and sheepskin clothing. The little workshop grew and expanded to become one of Italy’s leading makers of quality clothing. Mr. Sorio’s major achievement was that he changed the way customers perceived sheepskin jackets. Founder of Christia, Manlio Sorio is not only the inventor of the first women’s shearling coat, but was also the very first innovator to introduce colors to shearling overcoats. He succeeded in creating warm and lightweight coats that not only offered protection from the cold, but were so elegant and feminine that they could even be worn on formal occasions.

Our company has always wanted to maintain the substantial characteristics of lightness, softness and elegance in our garments. The artisanal production is also a peculiarity that Christia continues to defend. Every single garment is handcrafted by expert people: the selection of the leathers, the cutting, the sewing, the finishes and the final control are activities carried out by hand and under the constant control of the production manager, who ensures that each jacket comes out perfect from our workshop.
